Welcome

The Society of Ruislip Artists usually meet every month and we always enjoy welcoming guests and new members.  At the moment, we hold our meetings at The Woodman (hall), Joel Street where we have demonstrations by professional artists.  In the winter months we try to hold painting afternoons indoors whereas in the summer, we like to meet outdoors to paint and are very happy when people join us. We currently have an ongoing exhibition at the newly decorated Vito’s Cafe, Ruislip – our display was refreshed with new artwork by our members on 22nd September, find out more about our exhibition at Vito’s Cafe Ruislip.

Latest Update

We would like to let people know that sadly our President, Kay McGoay, passed away at the end of November.  Kay had been a member of our Society since 1979, firstly as a member, then Exhibition Secretary before becoming our Chairman.  We made her our President when she moved up to be near her family in Lancashire.  Kay was a lovely, kind lady and a very valued member of our society and will be missed by all those who knew her.  We send our condolences to her family.

We like to hold outdoor painting afternoons during the summer and will get together to paint indoors over the winter.   Our next free Art Workshop will be from 2.00-4.00 pm on Saturday, 24th January, theme to be confirmed, in Ruislip Manor Library, Linden Avenue, all ages and abilities welcome, so please come along and join us for a fun afternoon of painting.  Our next painting afternoon will be on Wednesday, 21st January from 2.00-4.00 pm in King College Playing Fields Hall, followed by our next meeting which will be on Tuesday, 27th January -where we will have a Zoom demonstration by Curtis Tappenden on Watercolour in The Woodman (hall), Joel Street at 7.30-9.30 pm.
