Joyce is the Chairman and Exhibition Secretary of our society.  She has been awarded a Certificate of Merit in recognition of her contribution to the Arts in the London Borough of Hillingdon and was presented with her award by the Mayor in July 2022.

Interested in art since childhood, she returned to painting once her children were grown.  Night school and encouragement from her sister, an art teacher herself, gave her the desire to start painting actively.  She has exhibited regularly with local art societies and with friends in the Hillingdon and Buckinghamshire areas.  Joyce paints mainly watercolour scenes, but also uses acrylic or gouache for the stronger colours in her Mediterranean paintings.

Joyce also enjoys painting animals and, occasionally, portraits.
