Mara was born in Latvia, and graduated from Art School and taught art in Adelaide, Australia.

Mara works in acrylic and has exhibited extensively in Australia and, more recently, closer to home in Harrow-on-the Hill and Ruislip. Mara has sold to many celebrity clients including Una Stubbs and Claire Rayner.

Most recently Mara’s work was purchased for use on the set of the ITV production Broadchurch.
